& Picnic
Hostesses were Lyndel Fullen and her mother Betty Van Meter. Betty
served for many years as Secretary-Treasurer of the reunion group.
Lyndel and Betty are descendants of Samuel Isaiah Gerking.
Four lines from the family of Jonathan Rice and Nancy Ann (Myers)
Gerking were represented at this reunion: Benjamin Franklin Gerking,
James Gerking, John E. L. Gerking, and Samuel Isaiah Gerking, with
Benjamin Franklin's descendants overwhelmingly outnumbering the others.

The history table was a busy place as people looked through the various
items, books, and other memorabilia brought for display by family
members. Here John Beck, a descendant of James Gerking, looks through a
copy of The Gerking Family in America - Descendants of John and Rachael Rice: A Genealogy and History, which was compiled by Florence Bowe for the reunion group.
