George's parents were probably Henry and Mary Long.  Henry died in 1813 in Sycamore Twp., Hamilton Co., OH in a part that later became Symmes Twp.  Mary was on the 1820 census Sycamore Twp.,  with 10 children.  George would have been included in the group.  Although there was no will the estate was recorded April 6, 1813 with Mary as administratrix.  George Long was in Symmes Twp., Hamilton Co., OH on the 1830 census.

Note: On the 1850 census Seth Long at age 23 was listed with the family of Elizabeth (Stiles) Long, widow of William Long showing a family relationship.  George and Williams were brothers who married sisters.

Last Will and Testament

In the name of the Benevolent Father of all:

I George Long of Harlan Township Warren County Ohio do make and publish this my last will and testament:
Item 1st: I give and devise to my beloved wife Sarah Long the land and appurtenances belonging to me situated in the aforesaid State, County and Township known and described as the home farm in which I now live lying and being in Harlan Township, Warren County and state aforesaid for her natural lifetime and after her decease then the property both personal and real of the home farm is to be sold by my executor as follows to wit:  The personal property I direct to be sold as soon as practicable after the decease of my wife Sarah and the Real Estate to be sold within the period of two years from the death or decease of my wife Sarah Long.  The proceeds of the said Estate I direct to be divided among my Lawful heirs except my daughter Mary Collins' share out of which I do give and devise fifty dollars to my daughter Mary's eldest Boy whose name is Leando.  The fifty dollars I direct to be put at interest if he is not of age and to remain until the said Leando becomes of age, and when he shall become of age he is to receive the said fifty dollars with the interest that shall have accrued thereon.
 I give and devise to David Stiles son of Alonzo Stiles or his heirs a certain tract or parcel of land lying on the Goshen and Wilmington Pike situated in Harlan Township Warren County and state of Ohio formerly owned by David Everhart containing 24 acres more or less to hold the same and appropriate the same to his own use as he may see proper after my death.
 I do hereby nominate and appoint Peter C. Spurling executor of this my last will and testament hereby authorizing and empowering him to compromise, adjust, release and discharge in such manner as he may deem proper the debts and claims due me.  I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made.
 In testimony hereof I have herewith set my hand and seal this 5th day of January in the year 1861.

George Long's estate:

 The deceased having left a widow & minor children we set of to them the following property without appraising the same as directed by statue.
 One spining wheel, baking stove one bible with family pictures the school books of the family one cow seven sheep 13 lbs wool shorn from them three beds, bedsteads and beding the pots kettles and all other cooking utensils of the deceased being necessary for the family the clothing and wearing appearel of the family and of the deceased one table six chairs six knives & forks six plate six teacups & saucers, tea pot twelve spoones, the clothes wareing apearl of the widow.
 The following is a schedule of the property belonging to the estate of George Long deceased set off by the undersigned for the support of Sarah Long his widdow and Freddie Long Eliza Long & Benjamin Long his minor children
 Supposed to be 33 bushels of wheat all there is at 55 cts 18.15
 4 hogs selected     13.75
 supose to ten bushels corn all there is 20 cts   2.00

Deed to land in Warren County, Ohio 1839:
This Indenture made the 17th day of Dec. in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and thirty nine between David Eberhart & Sarah Eberhart his wife of the County of Warren and State of Ohio of the first part and George Long of the county & State aforesaid of the second part Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred dollars lawful money of the United States, to them in hand well and truly paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, conveyed and confirmed and by these Presents, do grant, bargain, sell convey and confirm unto said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns forever, all and singular, the following described lot, tract or parcel of land to wit:  Lying & being part of Survey No. 3801 in the name of Henry Vowls containing twenty six and a half acres be the same more or less & bounded as follows, to wit:  Beginning at a stake & white Oak in the line of Philip Stump and corner to Ebenezer Stephens, thence with his line N 45 E seventy eight & a half poles to the corner of William Wills' land, thence with his line N. 44 ½ W. fifty four to a stake in said line & corner to Wm Hill thence with his line S. 44 ½  W. seventy eight & a half poles to a stake, pin oak & two elms corner to said Hill in Stump's line thence S 44 ½  E. fifty four poles to the beginning, reserving one acre in the North West end of said lot heretofore deeded to Eleanor Carrolls.  Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the rents, issues and profits thereof  and all the state right, title, interest, claim or demand whatsoever of the party of the first part either in law or equity of in and to the above bargained premises with the said hereditaments and appurtenances:  To have and to hold the said premises above particularly mentioned and described to the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever.  And the said David Eberhart & Sarah his wife do for themselves their heirs executors and administrators covenant and grant to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that they the said party of the first part are lawfully seized in fee of the aforesaid granted premises, that they are free from all encumbrance, that they have good right to sell and convey the same to the said party of the second part aforesaid, and that they will and their heirs, executors and administrators shall warrant and defend the same to the said party of the second part his heirs or assigns forever against all lawful demands of all persons.   In witness whereof the said party of the first part have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year above written
