23 Jul 1883 - S. COPE, Z. BAILEY and L.G. DAVIS post $20,000 bond for W.R. BARNES as executor of estate.
4 Sep 1883 - Inventory of estate which includes land listed 19 Mar 1883 plus 4 8/10 acs deeded by Martha Robertson 13 Apr1876.
Also includes quit claim deeds to seven distributive shares of the 200 acres
of the Martha Robinsons homestead tract and Tabitha Ann Robinson homestead
tract and Tabitha Ann Robinsons intrest in 86 1/4 or 80 acres belonging to
same estate valued at $1000/$7238.02 1/2. All the real & personal estate
herein set forth is the community property of W.H.A. DUKE deceased and his
second wife LAURA DUKE, also deceased except the 200 acres of land on the Tim
Anderson survey deeded to W.H.A. DUKE 12 Aug 1864 by Martha M. Robertson which
was and is the community property of said W.H.A. DUKE deceased and his first
wife ANIE DUKE also deceased.
3 Apr 1883 - G.R. HILL shows to the court that William R. Duke, Weekly P. Duke and Joseph B. Duke are minors of the ages respectfully of thirteen, eleven and ten years old. All male children residing in Camp County Texas and without father or mother or any legal appointed guardian of their person and estate.
That they have an estate of the estimated value of Two Thousand and five
hundred dollars being an undivided interest in the estate situated in Camp
County Texas of W.H.A. DUKE deceased their father and LAURA DUKE deceased
their mother after paying the debts of said estate. The said estate and minors
require the care and attention of some one to look after and control their
person and estates and your petitioner being the grandfather of said children
is intitled to guardianship of their person and estate. Wherefore he prays
that he be appointed guardian. Signed G.R. HILL by his attorney.

Four miles north east of Pittsburg, on the Timothy Anderson Head Right.

5 May 1884 - court order to partition land per report dated 12 Apr 1884.
The 200 acres on the Timothy Anderson survey of which the following is
a plat has been so divided that the defendants (Barnes & Hill) get 90 acres
off the south end of said tract of 200 acres described as follows. Beginning
at the S.E. corner of a fifty acre survey deeded from W.T. Hanson to said
W.H.A. Duke thence N.W.526 1/2 Varas thence N.E. 965 Varas a stake in the east
boundry of the Timothy Anderson survey, thence S.E.526 1/2 varas and along E
boundry of said Timothy Anderson survey, thence 965 varas to the beginning
containing ninety acres of the value of six hundred dollars.
And we have allotted one hundred and ten acres of said tract to the
plaintiffs (James M. Duke and R.P. & Emma Armour) as shown on the plat.
beginning at the N.W. corner of a survey of ninety acres above described and
set apart to the estate of W.H.A. Duke deceased, thence N.W. 668 1/2 VARAS TO
a stake, thence N.E. 965 varas to the N.E. corner of the Tim Anderson survey,
thence S.E. and East boundry line of survey 643 1/2 varas to the N.E. corner
of the said ninety acre survey, thence S.W. along the N. boundry line of said
90 acre tract 965 varas to the beginning containing 110 acs of the value of
$600.
31 Jan 1885 - following land sold:
17 1/4 acs about 1 3/4 miles N of Pittsburg S.E.of the road leading from Pittsburg to Mt.Pleasant by way of Jingles bridge & adjoing land the S.
by D.T.Aldridge on the east by Martha Robertson & on the north by D.T.Kimbell, the said road the line.

N.W. corner of the 50 acre survey made for three of the heirs of Martha

land sold to Charley Barnes for eight dollars or being 129 acres at $6.20 per

Duke, thence N.W.385 4/10 varas, thence N.E. 175 Varas, thence N.W. 526 varas, thence N.E. 555 5/10 varas, thence S.E. 911 Varas, Thence S.W. 730 5/10 varas to the beginning. 101 1/2 acres.
Also to E.F.M. Wilkerson $3.40 an acre $344.25 total and the second at
$3.75 an acre $225 total. the first tract a part of the Tim Anderson survey
and East of the tract above sold to E.F.M.Wilkerson. beginning at the N.E.
corner of said above tract thence S.E. 911 Varas, thence N.E. 628 varas,
thence N.W. 911 varas to Armours S.E. corner, thence S.W. 628 varas to
beginning. 101 1/4 acres.
Second tract on Robert W. Montgomery survey beginning at 591 3/10
