Michael P. Begany was a Parks employee for DPW. Michael was buried in Oakland Cemetery, Yonkers, NY. He came to America in 61 years before he died, ABT 1889. He was a member of the St. Joseph's Benevolent Society. Michael applied for citizenship in Yonkers on 9 Mar 1895. The application had very little information, but it said his country of origin was Hungary. It was witnessed by a George Krallick, who also was entered as an applicant on the previous page and also was from Hungary. Both were listed as Hatters. Michael’s name was listed as Mike Beganyi. He was married in 1897, in Yonkers, NY to Mary Holomany. Mary Holomany is the daughter of Stephen and Julia Holomany. Mary worked at Otis Elevator. She was a member of the Supreme Forest Woodmen's Circle. She came to this country at the age of 16 (1895).
