James Carden James Carden, son of Lewis Carden and Catherine Simpson was born 9/28/1831 in Coffee County, Tennessee, and died 10/10/1898 in Coffee County, Tennessee.
He married Phereba Caroline Simpson on 1/18/1855 in Coffee County.
Phereba Simpson, daughter of John Simpson and Sarah Bickle,  was born in Siloam, N.C. in 8/16/1837, and died 2/27/1921 in Coffee County, TN.
They are both buried in the Carden Cemetery near Manchester, TN.

Wife Phereba [in Original will, but in book as Phoebe] Carden share with
sone Peter Carden, have part of 200 acres purchased of SN Burger plus
small tract bought of Nettie Gaither plus 3/8 interets in tract owned
and occupied by Beally Gaither (Peter Carden paid for this and a deed
should be made to himi).

Other children, not named to have $400 each. The boys are to have the
interests of their mother and sister at heart.
