The Moore Family Tree

(14) Henry Moore (b. about 1822/23 in Georgia)
and Elizabeth Mary Calhoun (b. about 1825 in Long Cane, Abbeville, SC)
They married about 1843. Henry was a farmer.
       This family lived in Alachua County per the 1850 census.
      Henry and Elizabeth had two children:
(1st) Archibald Moore: (b. about 1846 in Florida)
   (2nd) (15) Columbus Francis Moore: (31Jul1847-22Oct1924)
(3rd) Benjamin Moore (b. about 1852 in FL)
(4th) Justus Lafayette Moore (b. 21Aug1853 in FL)
Married Mary Elizabeth Andrew (Andreu?) on 24Dec1874
in Starke, FL. They had one child:
Columbus Francis Moore (b. 29Oct1878 in Franklin, Alachua, FL)

(15) Columbus Francis Moore (31Jul1847-22Oct1924)
  and Nancy Denmark (1st wife):
Columbus was born in Alachua county, Florida and served in the Civil War for the CSA.
Nancy came from S. Carolina with her family. A brother Steve Jr.,
and a sister Het (Henrietta).
     Columbus and Nancy had six children:
   (1st) (16) Stephen Henry Moore: Married Addie Anderson. (see below)
   (2nd) Elizabeth Moore: Married Elias Kelly. He killed a man and rode
   a horse to California. Elizabeth followed and they
   had three children born out there.
(3rd) Mary Moore: Married John Nettles.
(4th) Evelyn Moore: (b. 07Dec1881) Married Jimmy Jones.
Son: Curtis Jones: Married Marguerite Jones
   (5th) Jefferson Moore: (b. 05Mar1879) Married Etta Williams.
Their son, Ressie Moore was raised by Stephen Henry Moore.
   (6th) James Madison Moore: (b. 19Jun1877) Married Harriet Ann Tomlinson.

Macy A. Thomas (18Apr1866-05Apr1950) (2nd wife):
Columbus and Macy married 27Jan1884 at
  Mount Harab Church in Alachua county, FL.
     Columbus and Macy had five children:
   (1st) Lewis Moore:
(2nd) John Macknaley Moore: (13Sep1875-Dec1881)
(3rd) daughter: Died at childbirth.
(4th) Juluis (Jule) Moore:
      (5th) Francis Moore: (girl)
Columbus and Macy are buried in the Antioh Baptist
Cemetery in Alachua County, FL.

(16) Stephen Henry Moore (15Oct1872-23Jul1961) and Adeline (Addie) Anderson (1st wife):
   Stephen and Addie had three children:
(17) Stephen Shepherd Moore: Married Lulu Braddock.
      They had one child: William.
(17) Harley Henry Moore: (16Dec1902-01May1997) Born in Raiford, FL and died in Tampa, FL.
Married: Mary Jane Barber (04Apr1907-14Dec1974) on 31Jan1932 in Tampa, FL.
(daughter of John T. Barber and Emma Louise Hancock).
Both Harley and Mary were buried in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, FL.
  They had four children:

(2nd) James Robinson Moore: Married Corrine Jones. They had two
children: Carolyn and Harold
   (3rd) John Moore: Died at age 18 months.
(4th) Howard Columbus Moore: Married Mary Corine Starling.
They had four children: Joyce, James, John, and Jack
   (5th) Grace Ada Moore: Married Burney Dobbs.
They had one child, Patricia.
   (6th) Evelyn Moore: Married Elwood William Tompkins.
   They had four children: MaryAnn, Clifford, Wade, and Paul.
   (7th) Inez Moore: (born 1927) Married J.V. Carver. They had two children:
