Biographies William Burch William Burch was born July 8, 1794 in Vermont to unknown parents. He married Mary Lamphear House in about 1827. It is unknown where they were married, but it was probably in New York. She was born May 21, 1808 in New York. Her father's name is unknown. Her mother was Lydia (lasy name unknown). William is found in the 1830 Census living in
Otselic, Chenango County, NY with wife Mary and daughter's Emily and
Harriet. William and Mary had ten
children. Their first five children were born in Otselic,
Chenango
County, NY. Their first, Emily,
was born about 1829. The rest of
their children were born
in Warren County, Ohio. They seem to have had two sets of twins, Orphea
and Reform born in 1842 and Edwin (Edmund) and Erastus born in 1845. Sometime between 1835 and February 1838 William and
Mary
moved their family from New York to Clear Creek Township, Warren
County, Ohio. They
settled with their family in Blountsville, Stony Creek Twp., Henry County, Indiana in 1854. William died April 8, 1866 and Mary died October 14, 1875.
