1.    William Char (Char is pronounced as "Car") Caddenhead - Born:  8-1-1833 in Alabama  Died:  10-30-1893  Buried:  New Hope Cemetary - Near DeKalb, Texas in Bowie County.  Married:  Suzanna Sides  10-8-1854   Born:  12-26-1833  Died 8-30-1885  Char served in the Civil war - in Granbury's Brigade under General Granbury, Company H, 7th. Texas Infrantry Reg.  and Company K, 17th.  Texas Calvary Reg.  Listed  in this book - "This Band  of Heroes - Granbury's Texas Brigade, C.S.A.  by James M. McCaffrey.  William Char is Levi's father, Floyd Caddenheads Grandfather, and J.L. Caddenheads Great Grandfather.

2.    Levi Caddenhead-Father of Floyd Caddenhead,  Grandfather of J.L. Caddenhead  Born:  1855    Died:  10-26-1906  Buried:  Cherry Cemetary   Levi married:  Mary Ann Choat  3-4-1878  Harrison County Marshall, Texas.  Born 1-1854   Died:  7-21-1920  Mary Ann - Buried:  Woodmen Cemetary, DeKalb, Texas.
     Austin Choat, Mary Ann's father served in Civil War in Granbury's Brigade under General Granbury, in Richardson Company of  Independent Texas Calvary.  He is J.L. Caddenhead's  Great Grandfather.

 3.USS LST 1081: J. L.'s Ship. He was assigned to this vessel during the Korean War. It is ferrying USS 971 to port.
