The source for these photos is "Beyond New England Thresholds" by Samuel Chamberlain, published in 1937 by Hastings House, NY, NY. The book contains more than 200 photos of various New England homes dating from 1638 through 1810. It's a very interesting look at history and is worth a trip to your local library for a closer look.
