1936 Larkins Family Reunion Photo
Findlay, Ohio
James Washington Larkins
from
Findlay, Ohio was born 1824 married Catherine Robinalt and moved to
Brady
Township, Saginaw County, Michigan where they had a large family.
Some of the above people were from Michigan. I can only identify
two people, 1. Majel Larkins, grandaughter of James W. and Catherine
Larkins.
She is the 2nd lady 2nd row on (your) left.
2. Ina Harris Johnson,
daughter of James Washington Larkins Harris and Minerva Hammond, is the
5th child from the (left
side if you are facing the
picture). If anyone can identify any others I would be
grateful.
Some of the younger folks in the photo should still be alive.

Dear Richard,
Your
request for information on Larkins from Findlay, Ohio came via a
circuitous
route. My neighbor, Roger Dubbs,
formerly
of Wood County, (saw your query in a genealogical newsletter) and asked
me if I would like to comment on it.
This
(enclosed) is information I put together after my father died in 1967,
strickly for my two daughters. You can guess
that
it was a somewhat frustrating job--names, pictures, dates not "jiving"
e.g.--so any errors are my own. But the following schematic is
the
best I could do with limited funds, patience, and time. I hope it
is of some help to you.
The
name
James Washington Larkins never came up, but I do have the 1936 reunion
photo. You will find me and my mother
(at
the extreme left) in the first row seated, and my father in the last
row,
third from the right--tie, no coat, pencil in pocket.
If
you
want to visit Jack (Larkins) in Findlay, take the route 224, Trenton
Avenue
exit, proceed east to N. Main Street. To
visit
Maple Grove Cemetery, take the next exit south, W. Main Cross St.
The cemetery is at that intersection.
Sincerely
(signed)
Jim
