Per Franklin Co, OH Gen Soc the following people are researching Fergusons in Franklin Co, OH in the surname index of 1992. I have not contacted them:
Marilyn D Smith, 185 Willow St Hanford CA 93230. Ancestor is Anna F. b: 1799 KY? d: aft 1847 m: Solomon Husted.
John Waggoner, 2683 Vassar PL, Columbus, OH 43221-Ancestor is Elizabeth F. m: Sampson Rice pos in VA ca 1817.

Ohio Source Records  p 415 says that the Columbus Genealogical Soc has a Bible record for families of Herron-Tylor-Ferguson.  Don't know anything more about this.  Does not sound like a bible record we already have nor does it sound likely to apply.

Out of all this, I believe that the family may have been in Lexington, Kentucky at one time. I am also of the opinion that Martha was the daughter of Thomas Ferguson, Senior, and his wife, Mary who was mentioned in his estate records.  Note the Mary who is buried in the Chenowith Cemetery in Pleasant Township.
Mary Ferguson, wife of Thomas, died 10 May 1848 aged about 90 years.  This would make her born in 1858, the right age to be the mother of a bunch of these people, including Martha (Ferguson) Cullumber. She was buried in the Chenowith Cemetery, which suggests that Margaret (Ferguson) Chenowith might have been her daughter.  This Margaret was married in 1811. Margaret Cullumber, the orphan daughter of John and Martha Cullumber was living with Margaret Ferguson in  1850.  Those Fergusons who survived seem to have been born in Kentucky.
In the War of 1812 records of Ohio, there is a Captain Thomas Ferguson, and a John Culluber out of Ross County.

I have trouble believing that all these connections are mere coincidences.
