Landscaping Is Good At Owens Cross Roads
The Owens Cross Roads club and community gets the blue ribbon for good landscaping in the county.
This has been going on for some time there. Examples of well planned and worked out landscaping are at the homes of Mrs. R. M. Craft, Mrs. W. H. Hamer and Mrs. Jesse Ellett.
There is also a lot of Red Cross sewing done in the community.
Mrs. Jim Maples is the leading member of the club in canning, and has the reputation of having one of the best pantries, with good quality canned food in the county.
Mrs. Delia Maples Martin is president of the club, and Mrs. J. H. Tabor is secretary-treasurer. The Club has 38 members.
