Tornado Shuts Hen In Dresser Drawer of Wrecked House

One of the neighbors who aided Mr. and Mrs. Charley Clark in weeding out the undamaged furniture from their wrecked home at Cave Springs, after the storm last week, was so surprised at what he found in a dresser drawer that he left his find there until he could get two other workers as witness.

In moving the article of furniture from the ruins, one of the drawers was shaken open an inch or two. There, packed down among clothes and odds and ends, was a hen, dazed by her experience with the storm, and too nearly suffocated to make even a squawk.

The worker, realizing the near impossibility and certain improbability of what he had discovered, closed the drawer and summoned two other men to the scene to verify his tale. The hen lived.
