There's also the Association of American Boyers which, in addition to publishing an annual newsletter, is in the midst of a massive revision of AMERICAN BOYERS, currently in the 5th volume of the 7th edition. This and earlier editions may be found in many genealogical libraries. While we are not affiliated with them, we endorse the Association of American Boyers as a clearinghouse of Boyer genealogy. The Association sponsors an annual reunion, usually in late July, and usually in Boyertown, Pa. For information, contact:

Owing, no doubt, to the popularity of the folk hero of the Alamo, "Davy" Crockett, there are several good sources for Crockett family information. You will see that we have relied extensively on Notable Southern Families, (Gen. Pub. Co., Baltimore) & Crockett Cousins, by Kathryn E. Jones, 1984.
