This four-generation picture of a Mason Co., Texas Wallace family from May, 1908, was found among items in an antique auction which became the property of a young man in Van Buren, Arkansas who had no connection to, or knowledge of, the family. He contacted me to offer me the photograph after learning I was researching the Wallaces . The subjects are identified on the back.

Standing (L/R): William Crittenden Wallace (1850-1924); Kittie Wallace (b. abt. 1879). Seated: Melvina Gillespe Wallace (1823-1912) holding infant Loretta May Wallace.

Melvina Gillespe Wallace was the widow of John Lee Wallace who was s/o Samuel McDowell Wallace who was s/o Judge Caleb Wallace.
