Mellor registers are held at DRO in Matlock - covering bapt 1629-1890; marr 1628-1775; bur 1624-1909
Mellor was originally a Chapelry of Glossop & included Ludworth. Part was transferred to New Mills parish in 1831
Mellor became a separate parish in 1859.
In 1935 Mellor was transferred to Cheshire but remains in the Diocese of Derby.
