Generation VI -2 Gardner

"George Gardner married Catherine Dorsey in Baltimore Co., Maryland.  The Rev. Slingsby Lithicum (Methodist) officiated.  A Dorsey History published before her marriage to George gives her as a "spinster", at age 21!

George, the youngest of nineteen children, in his youth was interested in boating; living in Baltimore that would not be surprising.  When he came to Ohio isn't certain, but from various Ohio histories we learned that George was among the early settlers of Clayton Township.  When it was organized in 1810, it was a part of Muskingum County."
