"John, born June 3, 1668, at Lynn.  He died March 20,1756 at Killingly, Windam, Co., Connecticut.  John spelled his name as Huchens, which was the Old English spelling.  He was married three times, first to Abigail Whitney about 1692; second to Mrs. Mary (Wyman) Pierce of Plainfield, Connecticut; and third to Mrs. Sarah (Hyde) Bacon.  John had 13 children born at Groton and Plainfield". *
