We are still trying to find the parents and town of Hans Heinrich Godemann, born about 1768. He was the grandfather of Johann Christian Albrecht Godemann of Klein Belitz. Hans married Elisabeth Margaretha Scharff of Penzin, at the Neukirchen church on 1 Nov 1793. We had originally thought that he came from the Satow Godemann families but new research showed that this was not the case. Another possibility is he was from the Heiligenhagen parish nearby, but research has not found him there. If anyone has any clues as to Hans' parents or his town it will be very much appreciated. Also both families came out of Scharf or Scharff families of Penzin, so more research is on going to see where these families are related.

recently (Oct 2005) found many of these Godemann families come from Ties
