Cornell Hamburgs Football - Chicago, Illinois

This old semi-professional football team was known as the Cornell Hamburgs.  They were from the Chicago's south side and some of the players formed the Racine Cardinals in 1917.  They then were named the Chicago Cardinals and became the NFL St. Louis Cardinals, who are the current Arizona Cardinals.  My Uncle, Walter Kruse is shown pictured on the Cornell Hamburgs in 1913 and 1914.  In 1914 they won the Championship.  On October 9th, 1921 the Hamburgs lost to the Green Bay Packers 40 - 0 at Hagemeister Field.  Chicago Mayor, Richard Daley played on the Hamburgs also.  If anyone has info on these teams, leagues, and players please let me know.
