Origins of the Clan
We
began our journey around the border between Pakistan and
India. Along with other Celtic tribes, or family groups
we kept heading west, building stone magaliths as we went
all across Europe. When we hit Ireland, no one had the
fare to cross the Atlantic, so we started back across the
Isle of Man and settled in Scotland along the border with
England. We were a "sept" of the Clan McTavish.
A sept is like a sharecropper cousin, allowed to live on
their land for a small up-front payment of cow and such,
and the pledge to take up the Claymore in defense of
their land.
