FIRST GENERATION

1.  Peter BECKER was born on 15 Apr 1826 in Altenkirchen Kreis Wetzlar.  He died on 17 May 1909 in Comal County, Texas.  He was buried in Becker Cemetery.  Cemetery Book - Lest We Forget - Cemeteries of Comal County.  pg 63
The book said there was a small grave marked Elma B. with no dates. there are only 3 tombstones in this cemetery with possiable another grave that is unmarked.  It has one large tombstone with a German inscription on it.

He was married to Sophie Regine Wilhelmin GEIER (daughter of Andreas GEIER and Ana Dorothea Sophie FREISE) Feb 29 1857 in Comal County, Texas.  Was listed as Sophie Geyer in Marriage Records of Comal County 1846 -1864. pg 22  Sophie Regine Wilhelmin GEIER was born on 6 Mar 1840 in Roemlingen.  The Bremer Book gives her birth as Mar 6, 1839.  She died on 6 Feb 1909 in Comal County, Texas.  She was buried in Becker Cemetery.  Family Footsteps March 1999 pg 63: About the Becker Cemetery  listed her as Sophia Geir. It said she had 13 children but list 10 sot aht some were lost in miscarriages or at birth.
