He left several sons. (see will.) His daughter Catherine married a Bryan; daughter Elinor married William Kirle who died in 1720; daughter Margaret married John Lawrence who made his will in 1739. Margaret Murphy-Lawrence made her will in 1750. A son Michael Murphry made his will in 1747 and one of his children, Elizabeth, married Thomas Dixon, Jr. p. 315 Green Hill, b. May 5, 1774, m. Mary Long, who was probably the daughter of Gabriel Long and his wife Susan Richardson of Franklin County [NC?] and a granddaughter of Col. Nicholas Long. Green Hill moved from Williamson County, Tennessee, to Alabama, and he is said to have had a large family of whom we have a record of only one. Children: i. Gabriel Hill, m. Elizabeth Epps Murphy, born 1811, d. Oct. 28, 1878. He died before his wife who married the second time R.W. Hill.
