[Description of Burial Site of James Murphree & Wife, Franklin Co. NC] [from Danny Bunn] Mark: Yesterday, while doing some research in the archives in Raleigh, I ran across the following and thought it may be of interest to you (if you do not already have it). Franklin County, NC, Real Estate Conveyance, 1848-1857 Vol. 31, Pg. 562 3 Mar 1856 John R. Bunn, Franklin County, to Joel Murphree, Pike County, Alabama, parcel of land, situate in Franklin County being 1/2 acre square around the old grave yard or burying ground so as to leave the ground there at present in center of said 1/2 acre as nearly as may be, the said burying ground being at the old Murphree place and where James Murphree and wife and others are buried. The said old tract of land being now owned is in the possession of said John R. Bunn. John R. Bunn Note: John R. Bunn was the son of Green Walker Bunn (town of Bunn, NC, named in honor of Green Bunn). At the division of Green's land, John received 60 acres of land that adjoined the Tar River near Bunn. I do not know if that particular tract of land is the same as the one mentioned above. Danny Bunn
