Murphy, 29 May 2002] 455 Murfrey Jun'r 650 To All &c Whereas &c Now Know yee that I the said ffrancis Lord Howard Govern'r &c doe w'th the advise and comfort fo the Councill of State accordingly give and grant unto John Murfrey Junr in right of SuSanna his wife six hundred and fiftie acres of Land lying and being in the upper pish of Nanzamund County at the head of a Creeke called Domphin [?] Island Creeke begining at a small willow standing in the branch oppoSite to Capt. JeSsys houSe and runs North by the land of Porvine[?] three hundred and twentie pole to a gum thence by the head line of Murdah and Sanders WeSt and by South to Sanders his Corner Gum thence by the line of Wright South Sixty six pole to a white oake thence North Seventie six degree Easterly five hundred fortie nine pole to a pine in a woody pagnoSon[?] thence North three hundred ninety five pole to a great warrior[?] white oake standing 456 in the Manus Swamp thence WeSt halfe Southerly thirty pole to a rod unto standing by the houSe road thence by the Said Road to a psimon standing in the head of a branch thence as the said branch runs downe to the first station intending the said guarantite & the said Land being formerly granted by pattent to Samuell Stephens Jun the twentieth 1639 for two thousand acres and after foreswall[?] Surrenders berunning [?] due to the orph's of Thomas ffrancis was reforming to & pattented & his their names for nine hundred acres October 20th 1665 but misbounded this being by Legall dispose the pper right belonging to the said SuSannah one of the orphans of the said Thomas ffrancis To have and to hold &c To be held &c yeilding and paying &c p'mised &c dated the twentieth day of Aprill one thouSand six hundred Eighty and five.
