Murphy, 30 Jan 2002] [page also contains patent for William Reeves] 183} Dorcas Murphee & Susannah Murphee 90 New Land Hamnin i. pago[?] George &er To All &er Know ye that for Divers good Causes and Considerationss but more especially for and in Consideracon of the Sum of Ten Shillings of good and lawful mony for our use paid to Our Receivor General of Our Revenues in this Our Colony and Dominion of Virginia We have given granted and Confirmed and by these presents for us Our Heirs and SucceSsors Do give grant and Confirm unto Dorcas Murphee and Susannah Murphee one Certain Tract or parcell of Land ^ containing ninety acres lying and being in Norfolk County on the North East side of a Creek called and known by the Name of Galons Creek H. Coinga[?] branch of Fannons Crook and bounded as followeth (to wit) Beginning at a pine a corner Tree of Thomas and James Simons there Land and a Pine Tree of James Jacksons Land runing thence bounding on a Line of marked Trees- dividing this and the Land of Thomas and James Simons SouthWesterly sixty one Degrees Ninety three poles to a Gum at the Head of a branch on the Small Creek that divided this Land from the Land of the said Thomas and James Simons then begining at the first Station and runing bounding on a Line of mark't Trees dividing the Land from the Land of James Jackson North weSterly thirty three and half Degrees thirty two poles to a Gum standing in the Prim[?] of Poatond[?] branch thence runing down the SouthSide poatond[?]- branch according to the Several CourSes ther of the Galons Creek Thence runing up the North west side of Galons Creek according to the Several CourSes thereof and bounding thereon to the mouth of a small branch dividing the sd[?] Land from the Land of the Said Simmons & Thence runing up that creek to a marked Gum Standing at the End of the Line of South westerly sixty one~ degrees With all &er To have hold er To hold &c er Yielding and ~ paying er provided er In witneSs er witneSs our Trusty and Well beloved Hugh Drysdale Esqr.
