Cretyngg St. Mary, Codenham, and Cretyngg St. Olave. Given at Cretyngg on the Tuesday of the feast of All Souls, 19 Richard II. SUMMARY: Lease by Nicholas Lyne of Southcreyk (Norf.) to John Leg and Cecilia his wife of a messuage with croft adjoining in Southcreyk late "Gallowes" lying at Robynesgrene, with one parcel of land called "Clementys" in the same croft in Southcreyk with all it's appurtenances, for the term of their life or the longer liver, at a yearly rent of 2s.; Nicholas to discharge and services to the chief lord and to undertake repairs "in Thakkyng Ryfyng Daubyng and Heggeny." SUMMARY: Bargain and Sale by John Kene of Northe Cove (Suff.) to George Chettynge of Wortham (Suff.), gentleman, and Judeth Chettinge, now his wife; for the sum of 600 of his manor of Bedyngham in Ockolte otherwise Ockolde (Suff.), late belonging to the late dissolved monastery of St. John next Colchester (Essex), and of his tenemtns, etc., called "Thromboldes" in Ockolte, together with the advowson of the church of Ockolte and all other of his lands in Suffolk granted to him by letters patent dated 28 August 37 Henry VIII 1544 to hold to them and to the heirs of George forever. SUMMARY: Grant by John Hawkyn to William Newham, Robert Catford, and Simon Vayse of all his lands, etc., in Waysshfeld (Devon) and appointment by him of Thomas Turner and Robert Jenyn as his attornies to deliver seisin. Given 31 December, 6 Henry VIII. With a declaration English, undated of the same John Hawkyn of the intent of the above grant, namely that his feoffees should be seised to his use during his life and after his death should secure 8s. 4d. a year to Pernell, the wife of Thomas Hawkyn his son and heir, with remainders to the heirs of Thomas and Pernell, and to the grantor's right heirs.
