[1875 Deed R.H. Hight to Joseph Murphy, Hill Co. TX] [transcribed by Mark A. Murphy, 9/7/2000] The State of Texas County of Hill Know all Men by these Presents, That R.H. Hight of the County of Hill and State of Texas for and in consideration of the sum of Fourteen Hundred Dollars ($1400.00) Dollars, to me in hand paid by Joseph Murphy of the County of Navarro and State of Texas the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have Granted, Bargained, Sold, Released, and Conveyed, and do by these presents Grant, Bargain, Sell, Release, Convey and Confirm unto the said Joseph Murphy, his heirs and assigns, Forever, the following described property: Part of the W.B. Nestle[?] property[?] and Part of the Moses Nestle[?] property[?] which is situated in Hill County, State of Texas about 23 miles N.E. from Hillsboro on the waters of Richland Creek more fully described by following metes and bounds- Beginning at a stake 3 yards N 30 W from the N.W. Corner of the D. Sullivan 320 Survey- Thence S led W 83 q vrs to a stake in the South bounded line of the G.H. Usray Survey. Thence N led E |59| Varas with said Usray Survey South boundary line to a stake. Thence S. 30 E 342 Varas to a stake in D. Sullivans North line. Thence with said boundary line S. led W 761 Varas- a stake the N.W. Corner of said Sullivans Survey. Thence N 30 W 3 vrs to the place at beginning containing 96 acres of Land more or less. ||||||||||||||||||||||| together with all and singular, the rights, herelitaments and appartenances to the same belonging, or anywise incident appearning[?]. Hight being examined by me privily and apart from her husband, and having had the same fully explained to her, acknowledged the same to be here act and deed, and declared to me that she had willingly signed, sealed and delivered the same of her own free will and accord, without fear or compulsion, and that she wished not to retract it.
