The State of Texas   County of Hill
Know all Men by these Presents, 
That R.H. Hight of the County of Hill and State of Texas for and in 
consideration of the sum of Fourteen Hundred Dollars ($1400.00) 
Dollars, to me in hand paid by Joseph Murphy of the County of Navarro 
and State of Texas the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have 
Granted, Bargained, Sold, Released, and Conveyed, and do by these 
presents Grant, Bargain, Sell, Release, Convey and Confirm unto the 
said Joseph Murphy, his heirs and assigns, Forever, the following described property:
Part of the W.B. Nestle[?] property[?] and Part of the Moses Nestle[?] 
property[?] which is situated in Hill County, State of Texas about 23 miles 
N.E. from Hillsboro on the waters of Richland Creek more fully described 
by following metes and bounds-		Beginning at a stake 3 
yards N 30 W from the N.W. Corner of the D. Sullivan 320 Survey- 
Thence S led W 83 q vrs to a stake in the South bounded line of the G.H. 
Usray Survey.  Thence N led E |59| Varas with said Usray Survey South 
boundary line to a stake.  Thence S. 30 E 342 Varas to a stake in D. 
Sullivans North line. Thence with said boundary line S. led W 761 Varas- 
a stake the N.W. Corner of said Sullivans Survey.  Thence N 30 W 3 vrs 
to the place at beginning containing 96 acres of Land more or less.

together with all and singular, the rights, herelitaments and appartenances to 
the same belonging, or anywise incident appearning[?].
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all and singular, the premises above mentioned 
unto the said Joseph Murphy, his heirs and assigns, Forever and We do hereby 
bind Our heirs, executors and administrators to Warrant and Forever defend, 
all and singular, the premises above described, unto the said Joseph Murphy 
his heirs and assigns, against every person whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to 
claim the same or any part thereof.
Witness our hand on this 5th day of November A.D. 1875.

Before the undersigned authority, personally appeared R.H. Hight and M.E. Hight 
his wife, parties to the foregoing Deed bearing date the 5th day of November A.D. 
1875, both of whom are Well known to me, and acknowledged severally that they 
had signed, sealed and delivered the same for the purposes and consideration therein 
stated.  And M.E. Hight being examined by me privily and apart from her husband, 
and having had the same fully explained to her, acknowledged the same to be here 
act and deed, and declared to me that she had willingly signed, sealed and delivered 
the same of her own free will and accord, without fear or compulsion, and that she 
wished not to retract it.
WITNESS, my official seal and signature, at office in the Town of Hillsboro this 6th 
day of November A.D. 1875

I, C.N. Brooks Clerk of the District Court in and for Hill County, Texas, do hereby 
certify that the forgoing Deed was filed for record in my office at Hillsboro, at 3 o'clock 
PM, on the 1st day of Decr A.D. 1875 and duly recorded on the 4th day of Decr A.D. 1875.
GIVEN UNDER MY HAND and Seal of office, at office, in Hillsboro, this 4th 
day of Decr A.D. 1875.
