Will In the name of God amen I Richard Murfee Senr. of Southampton County and state of Virginia being of sound and disposing mind and memory thanks be to almighty God for the same but calling to an end the uncertainty of this life and knowing that it is appointed once for all men to die do make and order this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following= Item| I leave unto my Loving wife Lucy Murfee one feather and furniture one Ass and Calf (of both her own choice) during her natural life and after her death to be equally divided between Elizabeth Williams Lucy Daughtry Celia, Sally and Nancy Murfee to them and to their Heirs and aSsigns forever Item| I give and bequeath unto my Son Simon Murfee my House all the Carpenters tools except the fore and Jack plain to him his heirs and aSsigns forever. Item| I give and bequeath unto my Son William Murfee one Gun now in his poSseSsion one shaving Razor one fore and Jack plain to him and his heirs and aSsigns forever Item| I give and bequeath Daughter Molly Murfee Thirty shillings Current money of Virginia to her and her heirs forever- Item| I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Lucy Daughtrey one Cow and calf to her and to her heirs and aSsigns forever Item| I give and bequeath unto my Daughters Celia, Sally and Nancy Murfee eight pounds current money each to them and to their heirs & aSsigns respectively forever Item| I give and bequeath unto my Grand Son Francis Murfee my old Gun to him and to his heirs and aSsigns forever- Item| I hereby confirm unto my Sons Simon and William and to my Daughter Elizabeth Williams the property of one Cow and a calf each which I have heretofore given and delivered them to them and to their heirs and aSsigns respectively forever Item| It is my Will and desire that after all my just debts are paid that the remainder of my estate of what nature or kind soever not herein before given away be equally divided between [next page] my five Daughters Elizabeth Williams, Lucy Daughtrey, Celia, Sally and Nancy Murfee to them and their heirs and aSsigns respectively forever Lastly I appoint my two Sons Simon Murfee and William Murfee my only[?] and Sole executors of this my last Will and Testament revoking and demanding[?] all former wither wills by me hitherto made and allowing this and no other to be my last will and Testament In witneSs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this 21st day of November 1789.
