Murphy, Stephenville, TX 8/2/2000] Nuncupative Will of William B. Murphey Proved 4 Feby 1867 State of Tennessee Maury County Know all men by these presents William B. Murphey of sound mind and in his last illness on the 25 day of December 1866 made known to the subscribing witneses his last will and testament. That he wanted all his just debts paid as soon after his death as circumstances will permit. It is my Will and desire that these shall be a sale of all my perishable property as soon after my death as the law will allow on a credit of twelve months and that my sons be permitted to remain on my land for the year 1867 by paying a reasonable rent for the Homestead and the tract of land my son James C. Murphey now lives on, my other tract being previously rented fo the year 1867. It is my wish and desire that Franklin A. Burke and John C. Murphey be my Executors to manage and settle up my entire estate. And that they be impowered to sell my entire landed estate some suitable time in the latter part of the year 1867 for One third cash. The balance on one & two years time. It is my will that all my children receive an equal share of my entire estate with the exception of my son James C. Murphey. it is my wish and desire that he have One Thousand dollars more of my estate than the balance of the children. And that my four sons and oldest daughter namely John C. Murphey, Isaiah F. Murphey, Joseph H. Murphey, Edmond L. Murphey & Sarah L. Agnew each pay out of their distribution shares One hundred and Sixty Six dollars & two thirds cts to my son James C. Murphey. It is my will that my son Isaiah F. Murphey be appointed guardian for my youngest daughter Susan E. Murphey. It is also my wish and desire that Franklin A. Burke and John C.
