Murphry of The Isle of Wight County being Thanks be Given to Allmighthy God in helth & of perfect mind & Memory butt Considering the Certainty of Death & uncertainty of it To me doe Make & ordaine This my Lastt will & Testamentt in manner & form following To wit} Imprimis I committ my soule into ye hands of Allmighty God my maker who gave it me & my body To The Earth to be buried in Christian buriall Atty Deseresion of my Executors hereafter Named Trustting Through ye Merritts of Jesus Christt my saviour to be made Partaker of Everlasting Life & for what worldly Goods god of his Great mercy hath Bestowed on me I give & Bequeath as followeth} Item I give & bequeath unto my Loveing son Micaell Murphry The Land & plantation he now Lives on which I purchased of Robt. Hooks only priviledge of ye Timber in That swamp ye wich I give for ye Maintainance of all & singular The Lands & plantation hereafter in This will by me Given I allso give & bequeath to my sd son Micaell Murphey fifty acres of Land Next adjoyneing unto his Land which I purchased of Jacob Dardon as by a deed beareing Date ye 24 day of Aprill 1684 all Which I gave & bequeath to him & to his heires for Ever allso I give unto him my Greate Chest# Item I give unto my son John Murfrey all ye Lands I tooke up as by apattontt Bareing Date The 20 day of Aprill 1682 To him & his heires for Ever I allso Give & bequeath to my loveing son Jon: Murfrey my Land & plantation called Corbitts which I purchaSed of Eversd. Perkins as by a deed beareing Date January The 12: 1691 after ye Death of my belovied wife Sarah Murfrey To him & the heires of his body Lawfully Begotton for ever I allso give him my Chestt my pistolls Hollsters & Sword & Long Gun# Item I give & bequeath to my Loveing wife Sarah Murfrey ye Land & plantation which is Called Corbitts as aforesaid The plantation & Land adjoyneing soefare as ye branch called the hogg branch soe downe ye branch To ye branch ye runs into ye Maine Swamp & downe ye swamp to ye bounds Thereof Dureing her Naturall Life I allso Give unto her ye Labour of my Negro Woman Called Cale dureing her Widdowhood & her finding her victualls & Cloak her Dureing her [sd Life Time?] [Item?] I give & bequeath to my son Wm Murfrey my Land & plantation I purchased of Daniell[?] Davis[?] by a Deed beareing Date [blank] To him and his heires for Ever, but for want of heires Then I give & bequeath ye same To my son Micaell Murfrey & his heires for Ever I allso give & Bequeath To my son Wm. Murfrey & my Daughter Catherine my negro Perle Equally to be Devided betwixtt them & in CaSe of ye Death of Either to ye surviver. Item I give & bequeath to my Daughter Katherine Murfrey The remainer fifty acres of Land I purchaSed of Jacob Darden to her and her heires for ever# Item I give & bequeath to my Loveing Daughter Margrett Lawrence a part of what estate with the restt fo my Chilldren hereafter Named after my Debts & LegaSyes paid The remaining part of my Estate Lands Goods Chattolls moveable & immoveable With ye Negro woman Cale & her increaSe hence forward if she survive my wifes widdowhood I give & bequeath to be Equally Devided betwixtt my beloved wife Sarah & my three sons Micaell John William & my other five Daughters Elizabeth Farrow Elinor Horle Sarah Anne & Katherine @ Murfrey & denominate & appointt my Loveing Sons Micaell & John Murfrey Joynd Executors of this my Lastt will & Testament & do hereby revoke make null & void all forever wills by me mande as wittneSs my hand & seale this 14 day of Novemb'r 1717 The Z marke of William Murfrey Signed Sealed &c by William Murfrey Acknowledged To be his Last will & Testamt & Atty.
