This Seaven and Twentyeth~
day of ffebruaryAnno Dm One thousand six hundred seaventy seaven And
in the Thirtyeth yeare of the reign of King Charles the scond &c I Richard
Murphy now resident in Ratcliffe in the parish of Stepney als Stebunheath-
in the county of Middx Marriner being bound forth on a voyage to the Seas
But with all considering the dangers hazards and perills thereof in refferment 
to mortality Doe therefort make this my laSt Will and TeStament in manner and
form following An firSt and principally I doe recommend my soule 
after my departure have when it shall please God to put a period to my 
Dayes in this transitory life to my Creator and Maker And my body I remit
to this earth from whence it came to be decently interred even as time and
plan shall permitt of And as bounding that worldly substance wherewith
the Lord hath been graciously pleased to invis me with all or that I shall
be worth at the time of my decrease I doe order and dispose the same ini ~
manner and forme following Imprimis I doe give and bequeath unto my 
Deare and loveing Wife Sarah Murphy the sume of Threestone pounds-
of lawfull money of England which layeth in the hands of Thomas Wise-
and Paul Lambert of Third Noodlestreet in London Merchats Item I doe
devise and bequeath unto my loveing Sonne Richard Murphy the sume of
Threestone pounds of lawfull money of England which layeth in the hands of
John ffly of Ratcliffe Distiller Item as for all the reSt and residue of my eState
whatsoever unbequeathed either reall or personall moveable or immoveable
and not disposed of in this my Will I doe hereby give devise and bequeath
the same unto and between my said deare and loveing Wife Sarah ~~
Murphy and my said loveing sonne Richard Murphy equally to be divided
between them a part and a parte alike And I doe hereby order make and ~
appoint my said Wife Sarah Murphy and the said John ffly full and sole
Executors of this my laSt Will and TeStament And I revoke null and make
void all former Wills by me made and doe declare this present writeing 
for my laSt Will and TeStament And now lastly as rememering [?] that --
Three stone pounds which I have before given and bequeathed unto my said
loveing sonne Richard Murphy and the one moiety[?] and equall halfe--
parte of my other estate my mind and will is that the same and every part
thereof shall be and remain in the hands of the said John ffly for the --
good use and benefit of my said sonne Richard Murphy in regard 
of his minority while he shall attaine to yeares of discretion to looke after
it himselfe and not by any meanes come into the hands or custody of my said
Wife whilSt it should please God That her dye before her raSeth the 
same into his alone poSseSion In witneSs whereof I the said Richard
Murphy have hereunto this my last Will and TeStament put my hands
