Vonna Ullila Eddleman Jones Obit
Dear Cousins,

It is my sad task to inform you of the passing of my Aunt
Vonna yesterday
at 8:30 a.m.  Vonna Ullila Eddleman Jones was 92 years old,
and remained
sharp of mind and memory until the very end.  A week ago
Friday, she was
taken to the hospital in Cape Girardeau after having
trouble holding food
down.  She had been moved to a health care center on Friday
last week.  My
dad and I just think she decided to give up, since she has
always said she
wanted to stay in her little house in Millersville, Mo.

Aunt Vonna was my best source of family stories and
relations. She helped
"set straight" many a story that my Uncle Riley had a bit
wrong in his
writings. I could also count on her to find mistakes in
family histories.
Last summer when I presented her with a copy of the book I
produced from
Dorothy Schaper's notes on the Jacob Fulbright, Jr. family,
she managed to
find about 3 errors.  I remember telling my dad at the time
that if she
only found 3 minor errors in 300 pages, then it must be a
pretty accurate
book! As with all the Eddlemans, she was an avid reader and
just loved to
visit with those who dropped in on her at her home.

Aunt Vonna was the oldest daughter of C. C. Eddleman and
Barbara Ann
Fulbright Eddleman. She was born in Biehle, Mo. on July 11,
1907. She
married Tony Jones, and was the mother of four
sons--Eugene, Freeman, Alan
"Rack", and Ronnie.  She always took pride in her many
grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.  The visitation is tonight at McCombs
Funeral Home,
from 4-8 p.m. in Jackson, Mo.  She will be interred next to
Uncle Tone in
Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson after funeral services
tomorrow morning
at 10:30 a.m.
