Alice Hedley (1886-1976) was the ninth and last child of John Henry Hedley and Margaret Florence
Johnston. Alice was 14 months old when her mother died. Alice spent much of her childhood at the home of her aunt, Lizzie Brown of Ashfield Township.

She was married in 1904 to William John MacKenzie (1877-1943). Alice and Will farmed in Kinloss Township before moving to Kincardine and then Lucknow. Alice and Will were Presbyterian. No children.
