Marchmont is a beautiful old stone house built in 1872 with stone brought across the Ottawa River from Guyon by Captain James D. (Dent) Wetherly. In 1844 the farm was bought by Godfrey Berry, a Brewer who established a brewery down by the river. . . later, the house became the home of former Chief Justice, Brian Dickson.
