Dursdemona Dora Webb was the third child of John G. Webb that reached adulthood.  She was born in 1847, probably in Itawamba County, Mississippi.  She grew up there and it was not far from there, that on June 1, 1864 in Monroe County, Mississippi that she apparently married Robert B. Reed, though some sources say his surname may have been Reeves.  The story passed down to some generations of descendants is that he was a Confederate Soldier who either left or deserted the war, a not uncommon thing for folks in the waning days of the war.  He was said to have been found, dead, by his wife in a hollow tree.  He had been robbed and killed.  Whether those who did it were Yankees, Confederate conscription agents trying to set an example, or just theives, is not known.  Mona, as she is sometimes referred to, did have a child by Robert though, a girl named Mary J. Reed.  She was born in Feb. of 1865.  What happened to her is not known.

At some point after this, but before 1868, Mona married again.  This time, it was to Robert S. Scott, son of Thomas Jefferson Scott and Margaret Peggy Ray.  He was fifteen years her elder, but that was a common age difference between man and wife in those days.  When their first child was born in February of 1868, they named her after her mother, Dursdemona Dora Scott.  They would have eleven children total (just as many as her sister Polly had), and they were all raised in Lamar County, Alabama.  Mona and Robert had seven girls and four boys.  The census caught them in 1880 living in the Pine Springs district of Lamar County (around Sulligent):

1880 Lamar County, Alabama Census
Pine Springs; Household #9
Scott, Robert S. 48 Farmer AL GA AL
Scott, Durdema 30 MS TN NC
Scott, Rosa F. 9 AL
Scott, Margaret 8 AL
Scott, Haley C. (female) 7 AL
Scott, Joel R. 6 AL
Scott, Christopher E. 5 AL
Scott, John 2 AL
Scott, Malinda 10/12 months AL
Their last child was born in May of 1885.  By 1913, Mona and Robert were living in the Sipsey Fork community of Monroe County, Mississippi, when Robert died.  It is not known exactly when Mona died, but it was at some point after 1912, and probably in Monroe County as well. By that time, all their children that would ever marry had already done so, and they had seen numerous grandchildren grow up as well.  Two of their children had moved out west to Texas, but most had stayed nearby.
