J. Ralph Binnall's email no longer works, if you know what it is, please contact me . Also contact Elizabeth Jean who has info for you - I have a great great Grandfather Robert Cunningham born 21 August 1726 at Tranent, E-Lothiam Scotland Married 9 May 1749 in Scotland to Beatrice Hay. His father was Willliam Cunningham born 18 Jan 1685 at Dysart, Fifeshire, Scotland, he married Christian Hogg 27 August 1708, Dysart, Fife, Scotland.

Catriona Wilson
- I am trying to trace some Hogg ancestors. I am descended from Barbara Hogg. She
was born on 23rd may 1823 to William Hogg, linen weaver/merchant, and Nicholas
Hunter in Oldamstocks, East Lothian, Scotland. They had married in Oldhamstocks
on 20th may 1814
She had a sister Janet born circa 1814 who married a Thomas Hogg. She died
on 30th january 1876. They ran a temperance hotel in Edinburgh and had two
daughters Mary, born circa 1854 and Louisa Josephine "Lucy" born
28th march 1856.
Barbara also had a brother William Sinclair Hogg who was born on 22nd july
1819 in Oldhamstocks and another sister Mary Hogg who was born on 25th december
1820 in Oldhamstocks.
I would be very interested if anyone could supply me with any information
regarding what happened to William and his wife Nicholas and their children
William and Mary.
June Powell - My great grandfather (George Spiden) married Janet Halliday Hogg in Prestonkirk in the early 1890s. Anyone have any connection to Janet who can help me trace this side of the family?
Mary Gordon Bertram - My husband's family is mostly from the East Lothian area, and looking through my tree, I find I have several Hogg marriages., but am missing many details. - any help would be appreciated.
David Craig Bertram (1834-1900, born in Dirleton, died in Haddington, Smith and Ironmonger) and Mary Hogg (1827-1909). Likely married about 1855. Parents of Alexander Garibaldi, Robert and Margaret Helen. Think this Mary is daughter of Robert Hogg and Margaret Dickson (don't know any details about them)
George Hogg and Cornelia Mary Cunningham. Cornelia was born in Dirleton in 1878, daughter of George Paxton Cunningham and Jesse Bertram and died in Haddington in 1927. They were married about 1904. Don't know of any children. Think this George was son of John Hogg and Helen Tait, but have no details.
Richard Hogg and Rachael Cubie, married Dec 20 1688, Edinburgh. Rachael was daughter of Thomas Cubie and Margaret Pedden and was born Feb 11, 1666. No details known about Richard.
Helen Mowat and ___?____Hogg, married in Ontario, Canada about 1890, likely Kingston, area. Don't know his first name - this was a second marriage. Helen was daughter of George Mowat and Jessie Bruce.
