Our GEORGE HOGG and ISABEL GLOVER had a son ALEXANDER b.30 Sep 1789 and Christened 14th Oct . Wt....MURRAYand.....HUME . It says thatGeorge Hogg was BUTLER to the RT.Hon.HENRY DUNDAS of MELVILLE . Before we knew only that George was "Gentleman`s Servant" From Debretts Peerage .He was Rt.Hon.HENRY DUNDAS PC MP for Co Edinburgh 1774-90 and for Edinburgh City 1790-1802. He held seven cabinet posts, was created BARON DUNIRA of Co Perth and Viscount MELVILLE in the peerage of the United Kingdom.Died 1811. May be this is the reason that our ancestor ADAM HOGG (son of George Hogg and Isabel Glover,Brother of Alexander ) was able to get an introduction to the Hon.East India Company and become Brigadier General.
Marilyn Nicholaidis (nee Hogg) - My gfather was Alexander Hogg and born in 1897 (I think). My grandfather married Mary Jane Fraser Gilchrist. They lived in Edinburgh.

Richard Nixon - My trail has gone a little cold, I have from the 1901 census in England Ellen Hogg b1875 in Scotland, wife of Samuel Cameron, b1875 also in Scotland. If you can help me place them I can maybe get back another generation.
