Frank Martin Holtz
Frank Martin Holtz was a son of Frederick and Frederika Lass Holtz.  He was born in 1894 and died in 1949. Born in Irondequoit, NY, he married Augusta Koehn in Rochester, NY in1914 and started a family in the town of Parma, Monroe County, NY.  His first son, Raymond was born in Parma on March 6, 1915, and his second son, William, was born on August 18, 1916 in the town of Irondequoit.  Frank was a farmer for most of his life.  The family moved to Lockport, Niagara County, NY before 1920 to be near Augusta's family.  He opened a greenhouse and continued to farm the land and sell flowers to the public. At the same time, he worked in a factory for additional income.   Physically, he was a big, strong man, who was always willing to give a helping hand when neighbors needed help on their farms, such as bringing in the hay, or harvesting apples, or tilling the land.  After Augusta's death in 1941, he married Freda Ann Mueller and later moved to the town of Newfane, Niagara County, NY.  He passed away in 1949 and was buried in Wrights Corners Cemetery, Niagara County, NY.
