Maria Pohl  (Pohl) was born March 1839 in Fadden, Germany, and died April 26, 1931 in Irondequoit, Monroe County,  NY.  She married William Friedrich Holtz Abt. 1861 in Germany, son of Christian Holtz and Johanna [--?--].  He was born February 1837 in Near Hamburg, Germany, and died December 18, 1905 in Irondequoit, Monroe County,  NY.

Rochester, Monroe, NY, by Rev. Carl N. Conrad; born December 24, 1859 in Steffenhagen, Mecklenburg, Bucow, Germany; died March 13, 1939 in Hilton, Monroe, NY.

Carl N. Conrad; born April 25, 1864 in Berlin, Germany; died January 06, 1934 in Irondequoit, Monroe, NY.

April 26, 1867 in Mechlenburg, Germany.  She married (2) Johann Sr. August Kettenburg Abt. 1904; born December 29, 1852 in Mecklenburg, Schwerin, Germany; died December 11, 1939 in Hilton, Monroe,  NY.
     5     iv.    Friedrich Holtz, born April 1866 in Mecklinberg, Germany; died December 23, 1946 in Irondequoit, Monroe,  NY.  He married Frederika Lass Abt. March 25, 1886 in Concordia Luth. Rochester, Monroe, NY, by Rev. Carl N. Conrad; born April 1865 in Mecklinberg, Germany; died June 17, 1940 in Irondequoit, Monroe,  NY.

Obituary taken from a Rochester, N.Y. newspaper on Wednesday, April 28, 1931:
"Woman Dies at 90, Has 70 Descendants
Mrs. Mary Holtz Resident of Irondequoit 50 Years
     A life of more than nine decades was brought to an end yesterday afternoon when Mrs. Mary Holtz, for more than fifty years a resident of Irondequoit, died at her home in Cooper Road after an illness of several months.  She was 92 years old.
     Mrs. Holtz came to this country from her birthplace in Germany shortly before the year 1880 with her husband, who purchased a farm in Irondequoit.  Mr. Holtz died a number of years ago, and for nearly five years she had lived with one of her grandchildren.  She was an active member of concordia Church until about a year ago.
     She leaves three daughters, Mrs. John Kettenburg of Hilton, Mrs. James Whitlock and Mary Thiel of Rochester;  Two sons, Fred and Chris;  twenty-six grandchildren, and thirty-nine great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services will take place Thursday afternoon at 3:45 o'clock at the home of her son, Fred, 3462 St. Paul Boulevard.  Rev. Dr. Carl N. Conrad will officiate, and burial will be made in Irondequoit Cemetery."
