Gloria Huff Spears Blanton, 83, of Hager Hill, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, at
Paul B. Hall Medical Center, Paintsville.
Born Feb. 17, 1929, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of the late
Quiller and Nola Daniels Huff. She was a hairdresser.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Spears; second
husband, Marvin Blanton; and three sisters, Barbara Ellen Huff, Marjorie
Grant and Lawanda Huff.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Spears of Hager Hill and Keith Dwayne
Spears of West Van Lear; a daughter, Sandra Yvonne Blevins of West Van
Lear; four sisters, Brenda Jones of Omaha, Neb., Carol McKisic of
Buckhannon, W.Va., Goldie Williams of Newport News, Va., and Sybil Leonard
of Dayton, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-
great- grandchild.
Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 16, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel, with Danny Conner officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
