Joe E. Caudill, 86, died Wednesday, February 22, in Bellefonte Hospital.

Mr. Caudill was born October 13, 1902 in Boyd County, the son of John
Albert Caudill and Lizzie Ann Sparks. He was retired from the Chessie
System, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, member of Ashland
Commandery #28 of Knights Templar, member of Ashland Royal and Selected
Master Everett Council #65, R. and S. M. member of the 32 degree Valley
of Covington Indra Consistory, member of the International Brotherhood of
Firemen and Oilers, member of the National Association of Retired and
Veteran Railway Employees, Inc., member of Grand Lodge of Kentucky, F &
AM #775 of Smith Russell, member of Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels,
member of the Apperson Chapter #81, R.A.M. of Ashland (Royal Arch Mason),
and honorable member of the Kentucky Sheriff’s Boys and Girls Ranch.

Surviving are his wife, Vivian Davis Caudill, one brother, William
Caudill of Flatwoods; and four sisters, Lakie Fowler, Ethel Barham, Ruth
Crance, and Bertha Leader all of Ashland.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 2, in Jones- Preston
Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David Warner officiating.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
