JUNE CHAFFIN
1903-1994
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 30 for June Chafin, 91, who
died Thursday, July 28 at Highlands Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Chafin was born June 9, 1903, in Johnson County, the daughter of the
late John and Pearlie Collins Fairchild. She was a member of the
Rockhouse Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulysses Chafin, on July 21,
1980. Surviving are one son, Jimmy Chafin of Barbourville; and one
daughter, Shirley Chafin of Paintsville; and two sistes, Alka Ratliff and
rose Fairchild, both of Staffordsville.
Officiating at services at Preston Funeral Home Chapel was Bill Pollack.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville,
Paintsville Herald,
