Robert C. Osborne, 68, of Sitka, died Saturday, June 17, 2006 at
Hazard Nursing Home, Hazard.
Born July 17, 1937, in Portsmouth, Ohio, he was a son of the late
Harold and Stella Burke Osborne. He was a retired state highway
worker.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Kay Vanhoose Osborne of Sitka;
a step-son, Scotty Allen Burchett of Blaine; a daughter, Marissa
Jo McCarty of Paintsville; a step-daughter, Lisa Burchett of
Sitka; two brothers, Jimmy Osborne and Thomas Osborne, both of
Wabash, Tenn.; three sisters, Barbara Taylor and Donna Lemaster,
both of Wabash, and Iva Joy Miller of Springfield, Ohio; one
grandson; and eight step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday, June 21, at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, Paintsville. Burial was in Highland Memorial Park
Cemetery, Staffordsville, under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral
Home.
