CLEO RATLIFF
1923-1988
   
Retired miner, Cleo Ratliff, 65, died Saturday, October 8, in Huntington
Veteran's Hospital.
  
Mr. Ratliff was born April 7, 1923 in Johnson County, the son of E. B.
Ratliff and Bid Ratliff. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
  
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frankie A. Daniels Ratliff.
  
Surviving are two sons, Gary Ratliff and Larry Ratliff, both of Van Lear;
four sisters, Garnett Dyer of Willard, OH, Virgie Gibson of Mansfield, OH,
Gladys Coroners, of Dayton, OH and Mae Laney of Johnson County, three
grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 11 in Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel with Bill Cantrell officiating.
  
Graveside services were conducted by DAV Chapter 136 at Highland Memorial
Park at Staffordsville.
