Robert "Bob" Ratliff, 72, of Ypsilanti, Mich., died Thursday, June
22, 2006 at his residence.
Born Jan. 20, 1934, in Lawrence County, he was a son of the late
Ad and Okie Pack Ratliff. He was retired from Ford Motor Company.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Ratliff, and
Jimmy Ratliff.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice May Ratliff of Ypsilanti; two
step-sons, Ronnie Cantrell of Prestonsburg, and Paul Eddie May of
Traverse City, Mich.; three daughters, Bobbi Brunty of Jackson,
Mich., Venessa Martin of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Bonita Cole of
Ypsilanti; four step-daughters, Delores Priode of Wittensville,
Tammy Cole of Ypsilanti, Cathy Green of Thelma, and Amie May of
Royal Oak, Mich.; seven brothers, Tommy Ratliff, Raymond Ratliff,
Steve Ratliff, and David Ratliff, all of Paintsville, Clyde
Ratliff of Lawrence County, Charlie Ratliff of Tutor Key, Harvey
Ratliff of Brighton, Mich.; three sisters, Virginia Rizzo of
Paintsville, Linda Hackworth of Bowling Green, and Margaret
Blanton of Volga; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday, June 28, at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, Paintsville, with Ronnie Spriggs officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
