FAIRCHILDCEM
FAIRCHILD CEMETERY

Denver, Johnson Co Ky.

RED: Additions added after original online listing.

On 10-7-2001, I visited this cemetery just south of Jennies Creek, a little
east of Lower Twin Branch which was an older Ratliff Cemetery.

There was a newer one there also but I didn't visit that one.
I took some photos of tombstones.

This original listing of the  Fairchild Cemetery at Denver Kentucky shows that Asa and
Nancy Conley Fairchild are possibly buried there - "but they are not".

They are buried on ASA CREEK in an unmarked Cemetery that sits on a hill behind  where
the old school building is/was (the school building may be gone by now - it was the first
building on the left of the road after you crossed the railroad tracks) near the mouth of
Asa Creek.  My aunt and uncle, Sue and Connell May used to live in what was called the
Aunt Mint Rice house just up the creek from that old school, and they said that Asa was
buried on the hill that is in front of that house.  I have never been on the cemetery and
possible no one knows that it is there, but there are several graves there I am sure, some
as recent as the 1980's.  Some of the neighbors of Aunt Sue and Uncle Connell were buried
there over the years.
