From Route 23 south you will come to 321 turn left or toward Paintsville you will
come to route 40 go East on route 40 to 581, turn left and go exactly 2.7 miles you
 will go through Greentown and cross a double railroad tracks. At 2.7 miles you
will be at an old abandoned house beside a doublewide mobile home, the road
to the cemetery is behind the old house. Please obtain permission from
the mobile home owner [Ray & Grace Castle] to enter the property.

Ethel Van hoose Passes Sunday Of Heart Attack Services were conducted
at the Van Hoose Cemetery in this city Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. for
Mrs. Ethel Van Hoose, 38, who died in a local hospital Sunday, September 1
at 4:30 a.m. Death was attributed to a heart condition from which she had
suffered for the past year. A native of Floyd County, she was born
Feburary 16, 1919, the daughter of Hollis and Nola Davis Ward.
She had been a resident of this city for the past thirty years.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin Van Hoose, and one daughter,
Polly Ann, at home. Also surviving are three brothers, Lorenza Ward,
Lovely, Ohio, and Ben and Phillip Ward, both of this city.
Rev. Scott Castle was the officiating minister. Burial was in the
Van Hoose Cemetery. Paintsville Herald Wednesday 9-4-1957
