Alvious E. Arms, 84, of Huntington, W.Va., died Monday, March 31,
2008 at VA Medical Center, Huntington.
  
Born May 23, 1923, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late
Everett and Minnie Blair Webb Arms. He was a manager with Carter
Plumbing/Heating, South Point, Ohio, and a member of First
Congregational Church.
  
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Neva Arms, in 1992.
  
Survivors include a son, Darwin Lee Arms of Huntington; three
brothers, Bill Arms of Grove City, Ohio, Herberr Arms of Hager Hill,
and Wayne Arms of Farmington, Mo.; two sisters, Everetta Bradley of
Stuttgart, Ark., and Vickie Blanton of Staffordsville; a
granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.
   
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, April 2, at Preston
Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville, with Tim Dixon and Wayne Price
officiating.
  
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Preston Funeral Home.
