1948-2011


Leroy Auxier, age 64, of Hager Hill, passed away Thursday morning (Dec.01
2011) surrounded by his loving family.

Leroy was born April 29th, 1947 in Vevay, Indiana, son of the late Edgar
and Opal Taylor Auxier.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janie Auxier whom he married on
May 30th, 1971. To this union were born two sons, Travis Auxier and wife
Sarah of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Andrew Auxier and wife Amanda of
Lowmansville, Kentucky.

Also surviving are two brothers, Kenneth Auxier of Staffordsville,
Kentucky and James Ralph Auxier of East Point, Kentucky; two sisters,
Bonnie Brown of East Point, Kentucky, Sherry Slone of Stambaugh, Kentucky;
and two grandchildren Jaedon Melcher and Emmaline Auxier of Lawrenceville,
Georgia.

Leroy had been a member of the Church of Christ since 1977. He was an
active member in the church serving as an Elder, Sunday school teacher,
treasurer, mentor, and in any other capacity to which he was called. Leroy
was as an electrician, most recently with Mountain Telephone Services of
Ivel, Kentucky. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers (IBEW).

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4th, 2011 in
the Highland Church of Christ with Pastor Jerry Scott officiating.

Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Park, at Staffordsville.
